What I Did This Week

  • Just finished a perfect 19th anniversary dinner–Lea and I with our three kids along for sarcastic commentary. Honestly–loads of fun. #
  • Wrote a 3,000 word short story at our writer's group last night and really like it. Had to use six props, which I used pretty well. #
  • Corporate tells Reddit that they can't run ads for Prop. 19, so Reddit runs them for free as PSAs. Brilliant! http://bit.ly/daLv4S #
  • Beautiful weather in Dallas right now. It must be in the lower 80s or upper 70s. Much better than the one hundreds we've had before. #
  • At ZoĆ«'s ballet class. #
  • Really trying to justify buying a Samsung Captivate when I already have an iPhone 3GS. #

What I Did This Week

  • Heading home from the circus. #
  • At the pool styling in my new Persol shades. #
  • I can't believe it is so hard to find the fan in Dallas in August. #
  • Round trip air travel to Boston for Viable Paradise arranged. Now to set up Boston to Martha's Vineyard. #
  • Okay, just booked my Cape Air flights to Viable Paradise 14. All travel bookings complete. All I need to do now is just show up. :) #
  • Clicked the wrong button and discovered I have MS Publisher on my computer. I had no idea. Now I can go back to ignoring it. #
  • Stretching music using Paulstretch. Turn any song into an ambient masterpiece! Awesome! #
  • I just realized that it must be very difficult to do email marketing for the actual product called Spam. #
  • I need to use reading glasses. I'm officially old. #
  • Working on the weekend–at Barcamp Dallas. #

What I Did This Week

  • Heading off to see Inception. #
  • Off to the pool with Willow and Mia. #
  • Last week was contract hell. This week is Powerpoint hell. #
  • I need to start on my Twitter novel again (@thegreysunset). It's not a lame cut & paste job. I actually was writing it on Twitter. #
  • Off to do some grocery shopping. #
  • Flying to LA tomorrow very early. Despite the time, my goal is to edit chapters 4 and 5 during the flight. #fingerscrossed #
  • Ah, the joys of waking at 4:45am. #
  • "First class checked in full." — I hate those words. #
  • Palos Verdes has the most beautiful and interesting trees. #
  • Wow, houses in Palos Verdes are expensive. #
  • Returning home to Dallas. #
  • Windows is telling me my NTFS file system is "dirty." #
  • Getting dinner at Fuddruckers. #
  • Watching Haven. #

What I Did This Week

  • Updated and re-jailbroke my iPad. Video works perfectly now. #
  • Roundtrip airfare from Boston to Martha's Vineyard is around $250. I can deal with that, but the connection in Boston is annoying. #
  • Roksbox for Roku makes my TV experience complete: Amazon, Netflix, and now streaming video from my computer all sent through my Roku box. #
  • Just back from taking Mia and Willow to the Valley View fair with Lea. #
  • My family refuses to accept that Snopes is there to help them. They would rather believe that stuff emailed to them anonymously is true. #
  • At the pool with Mia and Willow. #
  • Really enjoying Perdido Street Station, but holy cow–has Mieville ever met an adjective he didn't like? He needs to read some Gene Wolfe. #
  • Watching so you think you can dance with the family. #
  • Damn Island Inn disorganization. They didn't have Viable Paradise info and I'm pretty sure they booked me into a different building. #
  • Just back from Target. Time for movie night with the family. #
  • Heading off to the bookstore with Lea. #
  • Editing chapters 3 and 4 of my novel at Starbucks. #
  • Okay, chapters 1-3 are submission-ready. Chapter 4 here I come. #
  • Off to the grocery store for cleaning supplies. #
  • Watching Top Gear with Lea. #

What I Did This Week

  • Theming my iPhone. #
  • At the Dallas Children's Theater. Watching Quack, Quack, Moo with Mia. #
  • My new iPhone theme. http://moby.to/0r8xy8 #
  • Pistachios just don't taste nearly as good without salt. #
  • Watching the new season of the IT Crowd. #
  • Loved Beatrice And Virgil. Part Pinter, part William Carlos Williams, and all Yann Martel. Love his creative use of the prose form. #
  • Checking Twitter for the first time today. Like my job, but man does it keep me busy. #
  • Booking Viable Paradise flights using frequent flier miles. At least one part of this trip won't cost me any money! #
  • Going off to Starbucks to write. Tried White Rock Coffee, but didn't like the chairs. #
  • Is there a more soulful violin than in "The Hurricane" by Dylan? #
