What I Did This Week
- At Barnes & Noble. #
- Fun but long day. Sitting down to work on my novel. #
- Just passed 68,000 words in my novel. Looks like this will end up being around 130K or so. That means I'm over half way done! #
- At Borders. #
- First a nap, then I'll work on my novel. #
- Writing break for a new Mythbusters on the DVR! #
- Think I'll wait on doing my "continuity reference" for my novel after I finish the first draft. #
- Sweet: Was able to bring one of my main characters back into play in my novel. Need to tie up one more loose end in the next 40 pages or so. #
- Starbucks run! #
- Working on my novel. #
- Calling it a night on the novel. 71K words done. #
- Cleaning the house, while Lea rests. #
- Yikes, forgot that I need to update my health insurance and 401K online before tomorrow. Will do that now. #
- Finally signed up for my 401K, now I need to convert my health insurance from the 1,500 to the 500 deductible. #
- Mia: I like when you smile at me, Daddy. #
- My chapters average 4K to 7K, and I just wrote an 1800 word chapter. Any thoughts on whether that's bad or not? #
- 72,382 words done on my novel. The pieces are slowly coming together. #
- Off to pay bills. Got a nice year-end bonus, making this less painful.
# - Just put $100 on my Starbucks gold card. First bill paid! #
- All credit cards down to zero balance. End of year budget win. #
- Off to Ikea. Perhaps a new mattress is in my future. #
- Ikea is kind of nuts. #
- Buying a sparkling red at Central Market. #
- Booking my LA travel. #
- Just waking up. Ah, sweet new year! #
- Had a 101 fever, and an unpleasant evening, but I feel a lot better now. #
- Downloading Reeldirector for iPhone. I'm very curious if this can actually do decent video editing on a phone. We'll see! #
- Just did a load of laundry and emptied the dishwasher. #
- Lea going off to get her hair done at Toni & Guy with Zoe. Me? I'm doing dishes, laundry, and watching Mia and Willow. #
- Lady Gaga: "I promised them a 30 minute set and I'm not stopping" http://bit.ly/5Gbgml Awesome. #
- Downloading Scooby Doo episodes onto my iPhone for Mia. To the kids, the iPhone is pretty much their personal TV. #
- I must have like 2+ gigs worth of videos on my iPhone and not one song. Although I have the Rhapsody app, so I guess I have 8 million songs. #
- Buying clothes. I hate buying clothes. #
- Just watched 2012. Disbelief suspension pushed to the limit. #
- Got my Bluetooth keyboard working with my iPhone. I may not need a laptop for long if this works well. #
- Brunch at IHOP. #
- Shopping. I think Lea has strep throat.
