Why Currents & Tangents?
I’ve always lived my life with the philosophy of following where it led me. Much like following the currents of a river or ocean, gliding along peacefully while you enjoy the gentle flow of water around you. This isn’t necessarily a passive approach to life, as there are innumerable currents and eddies around us. It is, more than anything, a way of accepting the large decisions you make–the currents you choose to follow–while knowing that those large decisions are your own.
In this sense, the currents in the title refer to those large life decisions I have made in my life and how much I have enjoyed living through the results and consequences of those decisions. I’ve been very blessed in my ability to find the right currents to follow in my life.
As I’ve enjoyed the currents of life, my day-to-day life is often filled with random points of interest. Some of interests last no longer than a few days. Some of them last years and years. Some of them come, go, and then come again as the mood strikes me. All in all, however, they are all enjoyable tangents that occupy my time and keep me curious and intrigued in life around me and my own abilities. In fact, you could say that this website itself is one of these tangents.
So currents and tangents. These things define my life, and my life is what this website is about.
